Our Physiotherapists work with people who have become disabled by injury, illness, or age. Our goal is to help patients regain their range of movement, or to support patients with permanent disabilities to prevent further damage and increase the patient’s functionality.
It is important for them to establish long-term relationships with their patients in order to support them through the healing process to better health and well being. Ascertaining the level of a patient’s disability, and the types of goals a patient might have is extremely important and it is with this information that they can establish a therapy program which is tailored to each and every patient’s unique needs.
Physical exercises which are designed to develop the patient’s muscle tone and strength are a core part the plan. They may also use techniques such as massage, taping and guided stretching to help. You may find that our Physiotherapists may also offer nutritional advice, body conditioning and suggested medications which are designed to prevent recurrence of injuries, or to avoid making an injury worse.
